Students and staff begin the 2025-2026 school year

We Choose SPS!

SPS students and staff began the 2025-2026 school year this week across Springfield.

"We have been preparing all summer to open our doors and welcome students and families back for the 2025-2026 school year," said Dr. Grenita Lathan on the first day of school. "As the District of Choice, we have renewed our commitment to opening doors for students so they can access a wide range of opportunities and resources to equip them for success this year and beyond."
